WARRANTY & FAQ.

Recon Rods provides a one-year limited workmanship warranty on its assembly work, beginning at documented pickup or confirmed delivery. This covers defects in our guide installation, wraps, epoxy and finish, handle assembly, reel-seat installation, and other custom assembly work. Submit a request so we can inspect the issue and determine the right correction.

Damage from impact, crushing, a vehicle or door, poor storage, misuse, modifications by another builder, normal or cosmetic wear, excessive loading, or use outside the rod's intended purpose is outside the workmanship warranty. We review each claim on its facts rather than deciding from a form answer alone.

Manufacturer warranties are separate and follow the manufacturer's terms, fees, and claim process. Recon Rods can help identify the component and provide build information, but the manufacturer decides its claim.

No. A request starts a conversation. We confirm the exact specification and itemized quote with you before you approve or pay anything.

The build itself takes approximately two full weeks after every rod component has arrived. Vendor delivery times vary and are outside my control, so I can only estimate the completion date until the parts are in hand.

After you approve the written rod specification and quote, a 50% deposit on the quoted rod total is due. I send the Venmo link with your approved quote. The remaining 50% is due when your rod is complete, along with any final shipping charge.

I can estimate shipping before the build, but the final charge is not guaranteed. I confirm the actual shipping cost when the rod is complete. If your rod is shipped, that charge is paid with the remaining 50% before shipment.

Local pickup is available in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. We arrange exact handoff details directly once your rod is ready and the final balance is paid.
